The Japanese are clearly not pussies. The only nation to be nuked thus far have embraced the technology, like no other. Despite the risk of natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis and Godzilla. If only they would have more babies. The world could use more Japanese people.

Japan is working on restarting the world’s biggest nuclear power plant, another sign of the country reviving its nuclear energy industry.

This is not because they are special, but because they have no other way out, and they are an example of the fact that in the medium run civilization has no other way out except nuclear power. Well, then thermonuclear will come, but that's later. All these wind turbines, solar panels in production, maintenance and recycling are much more expensive than nuclear energy. The usual economic rule is at work here: the more you produce (energy), the cheaper it costs you per unit produced.

@kuchinster you must really think that I'm stupid, huh? Besides their very intelligent humans, Japan has very little resources, which is why she terrorized the Pacific leading up to the second world war and why the Japanese are still hated all over the Asia Pacific region. Obviously, without oil or natural gas deposits, she opted for nuclear power. My post speaks for itself and the Japanese are special, since more than anywhere in the world they have embraced the technology even though they were bitten by it in war twice and have had a few mishaps in the civilian sector.
