Update: Putin and Trump will meet in Alaska next week. Originally, President Trump said he wouldn't meet alone with Russian President Putin, but Putin and Zelenskyy hate each other so much, it probably won't work. Maybe this will. According to the Wall Street Journal, Russian president Vladimir Putin proposed a cease-fire if Ukraine gives them Eastern Ukraine, also known as Donbas. They also want global recognition of its claims. European officials have serious reservations about the proposal.
