If True Trump Has Learned Nothing. There are many rumors, that Trump may be eyeing quite a few neocons as his running mate and we hope that this isn't remotely true. They are, Tim Scott, the senator and idiot from South Carolina, Marco Rubio, from Florida and worst of them all, Mike Pompeo. If any of these three, are serious contenders, then it only proves that Donald Trump has learned no lessons from his last stint in Washington DC. He may as well throw neocon Nikki in the mix as well, if that's the case. If Trump is actually considering this boneheaded move, he is running the risk of alienating his supporters, particularly from the MAGA movement, since neither men will inspire his grassroots base and in doing so, choosing any one of these men, Trump is risking the disruption and continuity of this populist movement. Which, if as some think, Trump is nothing more than an elaborate, deep state psyop, then that would make sense. Whomever Trump chooses, that person needs to be young, exciting and inspiring to the base, someone who can win in 2028, after Trump is gone.
Let us not forget, Trump has been a democrat for most of his life, contributing to most of their causes. He ran as a third party candidate and now thanks to the Tea Party movement which morphed into MAGA, he has taken hold of the republican party. Now isn't the time to give the GOP establishment appeasers any hope that they can have their party back. I can't speak for anyone else, but if Trump continues to show signs that he has learned nothing from his recent experiences, then I will wash my hands of him too. Albeit, he'll still have my blessings, but I may just get good and drunk, all election day, in lieu of voting. He can do stupid things, then so can I and the rest of us. Let the democrats wreck the country, the republicans seem to be headed in the same trajectory but he democrats just seem to want it done faster.
Speaking of democrats, there is this former democrat called Robert Kennedy, Jr., whom I do not favor, but the thought did enter my mind, that if Trump makes another callous choice in personnel and disillusions the MAGA base, it wouldn't be far fetched to see a savvy politician such as Kennedy, shifting his narrative and making a move to capture the hearts and mind of the MAGA mob. Just saying. MAGA is the third party that everyone says they want to vote for, however third parties getting off the ground in the current political climate is next to impossible, except how Trump did it. He took an already, in place, political base and tailored his message, his narrative to coalesce with the movement's and the rest is history. Also, he comes across as genuine and he did all his promises, which he could, barring obstructions from within and outside of his party. Time will let us know if the movement will have a chance to mature and it all depends on who Trump chooses to be his closest confidants. Indeed, it all begins with whom, he chooses as his running mate.
