@Bernard Marks Reasonable people would attest, that there lies a race of people, who did much more than try. They gave water to the thirsty, fed the hungry and comforted the sick, dying and fearful. Reasonable men would see no fault with men such as these.

I went to church on Sunday and they asked us to donate money to help the persecuted Christians in Nigeria. Nigeria had more births last year than all of Europe.

I will not be going back to that church.

Anyway, I agree with you but with a caveat: abundance is not intrinsic.
It's the result created by the divine spark that lives in all living beings. Our world is abundant because many men have done so throughout the ages, one small action at a time.

Divinity really is in every small thing around us.

@Zeb 摆烂 Forgive me I should have expanded on that thought some more. Yes, it was and answer in reference to me rationalizing my hesitance towards churches. I prefer to have communion with my perception of god privately. Do you know what I mean? Churches have always intimidate me since the beginning.

The USA has given away over $3 trillion in foreign aid to others countries FOR FREE in the past 25 years. We are now paying $120 billion PER YEAR in interest payments on the free stuff and money we have given away. It was debt financed. Our foreign aid <br />budget should be $0.00.
