@Emmanuel Florac France meddles in European affairs as evidenced in Georgia, Romania and Serbia, just to name a few, so there is no doubt that if the government of Togo, doesn't tow the line, it too will be in the cross hairs.

Although, their approach to doing so will require some stealth since most of the routes to destabilize them, namely Brukina Faso, Mali and Niger, have been closed to the French. Ghana will be an obstacle but there is Benin, which may have a relatively good relationship with France, so that will probably be where it begins, if it does at all. French influence in the region may be fleeting, any meddling will only further hasten that reality.
