Those tactics may work in third world countries but I'm not so sure how successful it will be against the hardscrabble Russians. In any event, I'm sick and tired of the deep state acting like they're an empire. They've lost me at this point and it doesn't matter if the political party that I've always supported is in power or not, since I no longer trust them either.

@ミ★ Confederate Space Force ★彡 it seems as if they're wasted, since there isn't a coordinated movement driving it to insure a possible or probable win. I mean, the act and reason for voting is to win, isn't it? People who vote for third parties without a cohesive movement, behind the party seem to be very impulsive and impatient.

Now what if there were enough people that voted for third parties coupled with many third party candidates representing one or more parties? That would probably shake the political environment up somewhat and probably put complacency and apathy at bay. Perhaps. I just think, voting for a party, or an individual running as a third party candidate, that doesn't have a force of support, and clearly won't win is akin to giving up, almost like a suicide even. I could elaborate, however, I think you now know my mind.

The object of voting is to win

So it's a horse race now and we're just betting on a winner, is that it? I'm old school when it comes to voting: We should vote for what we want rather than "bet" on which of two horses we don't want in office will take it. If voting still counts at all (which is doubtful), then voting for what I want is what I should do. In good conscience I can't do otherwise.

If one knows in his heart that one doesn't have the numbers, which equals the means to win then what is one's true motivation?

What good does it do, if only you two are his or hers, only supporters. Whom have you really helped? Certainly not that particular candidate. My contention is this, the only people whom, you have seemingly helped at all, if any, are yourselves, both of you, pretending as if you've done some uniquely, sensible, radical thing and all you have achieved, is not getting your perfect candidate elected.

Valid points, you guys, definitely worth considering. I have given it a LOT of thought over MANY months and reached a conclusion which I can live with in good conscience. Everyone should do the same, even if their decision is different from mine or anyone else'. Thanks for the discussion and thanks for your patriotism!
